
Leon Poulsen grew up in Utah. After his High School graduation he worked for LH Poulsen and Sons from 1950 until 1960 when he started Leon Poulsen Construction Company. During his time as President of Leon Poulsen Construction Company, Leon directed various construction projects.
In 1985 he sold the Company to his son, Steve, and went to work for Central Weber Sewer District as the General Manager where he oversaw the expansion of the Central Weber Sewer Treatment Plant. Leon also served as Mayor of Riverdale City during this time.
Leon retired in 2002., he and his wife, Ann, enjoyed visiting the Office often before their passing's in 2021 and 2022, respectfully.
Steve took over as owner and President of Leon Poulsen Construction Company in 1985. Under Steve's leadership, the Company grew and became well respected in Northern Utah.
In 2022 Steve sold the Company to Alex Rountree, and he retired in December of 2024. He continues to check in often and offer up his lifelong construction wisdom to the Project Managers.
Steve is a proud grandpa and enjoys having cookouts with his family. He hopes to do some fishing during retirement and spend time at home hanging out with his French Mastiff and Bernese Mountain dog.
